A 30-hour course that teaches Communicative Arabic used in social and business contexts. The course targets the four skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing, with a focus on the speaking skill. The course is taught using an interactive, student-centered method that makes foreign language learning simple and fun. The course prepares students to perform real-life situations and aims to achieve the Beginners I learning outcomes listed here.

• recognize the grammatical rules governing nouns, verbs, pronouns, adjectives, numbers
• know the rules of Arabic writing and read, and write the 28 Arabic letters
