Web Scraping with Python
Learn how to explore the “insides” of websites and extract information from them. A lot of tech companies rely on Web scraping to fill their databases with publicly accessible information: price comparators, travel aggregators. It is also widely used in marketing for market research or customer feedback analysis. Data scientists and business intelligence specialists will use scraping to build datasets and crunch numbers.
In this workshop, we use Python, the Beautiful Soup scraping library, and an interactive Jupyter notebook to show you the basics of web scraping in a step-by-step tutorial. Some experience with Python will come handy, but is not necessary — basic programming concepts will be explained in an accessible hands-on manner.
This webinar will start with a 1-hour lecture to introduce the core concepts. You will then be onboarded on Le Wagon e-learning platform and access the slides, a sum-up of key notions as well as exercises to keep practising after the workshop.
