About Women@Work
Here at Women@Work we believe in gender diversity and equal opportunities for women. We have a deep understanding of the unique journey that women experience throughout the life-cycle of their career, and have developed a community of experts and a suite of tools to allow women to succeed! Women@Work was first launched as Mums@Work in 2016 with the support of one of the GCC’s largest recruitment firms, Mackenzie Jones. Over the years the business quickly established a reputation for delivering opportunities that supported flexibility and returnships for women who were ready to dust off their favourite suit and reconnect with their professional selves.
As soon as word of our success got out, more women, not just mums, began to approach us seeking support with their career journeys, because they felt we understood their needs. So it was only fitting that our brand has evolved into what it is today Women@Work; because to us, all women matter.
Whether it is full-time, part-time, flexible, returnships, entrepreneurship or career development, our team of experts will be there to support you every step of the way.

We have been impressed with the skills and expertise of the placements
We have had Return To Work participants join us across Marketing, Consulting, Operations and Human Resources. The placements were designed with flexible working in mind and around real business challenges and projects, giving the participants the ability to really add value to their CV and Visa. With all the participants we have been really impressed by their skills, expertise and how they have taken on the projects. We are very pleased that one of the mums who joined us is now working for us in a permanent role. It has been an incredible opportunity for both Visa and our participants and we will certainly be taking part in the program again.

Women@Work really get it
In our experience, offering part time and flexible roles to women looking to return to work after having a baby is a really great way to tap into a very strong talent pool while being cost effective for an SME. The team at Women@Work really get it – they are mothers and business women themselves. Great to do business with and we look forward to working with them again in the future

Happy to support Women@Work
At Estée Lauder Companies in the Middle East, 80% of our workforce are women. Women also make up 70% of our Senior Leadership team so as an organisation locally we are keen to support such an important population of our staff to ensure that they can consistently manage a professional life alongside personal responsibilities. Companies need to provide flexible options for their female employees and we are happy to support an organisation such as Women@Work who recognise the same.

Strong believer in returnships
Over 40% of qualified, skilled and experienced women leave the workforce to take on the additional responsibility of home, raising a family or caring for elderly parents. As their children get older and the responsibilities become more manageable, women start looking at getting back into the workforce but that generally means taking many steps back. I am a very strong believer in returnships and we as organisations need to ensure women don’t leave the workforce in the first place. We should be able to support with more flexible hours and work schedules that allow them to do both. We are excited to work with Women@Work on providing more flexible options for working mothers in the region.
