A five-meter large experiential moon has been recreated in OliOli®’s brand new gallery titled The Museum of the Moon

Ever wondered what it must feel like to be an astronaut seeing the moon up close? Well now you can finally experience the feeling firsthand because OliOli® has brought the moon to Dubai to mark its third anniversary.

This world-renowned artist Luke Jerram created a five-meter accurate replica of the moon by fusing imagery from detailed NASA pictures of the lunar surface. With a surround sound composition created by BAFTA and Ivor Novello award-winning composer Dan Jones, you will be nothing short of amazed by this breath-taking experience.

The Museum of the Moon will elevate moon-gazing to a new level with the OliOli® venue providing a fully immersive experience. Running from the 15^th October, OliOli® plans to ring in the half-term break with an awe-inspiring experience. “When we think about the moon we cannot forget the magic behind it – it’s fun, romantic, calming and historically and culturally such an important piece to our identity,” commented Andrew Jeffrey, Steam Programs Manager at OliOli®.

Asha Ramchandani, the co-founder of OliOli®, adds, “We brought the Museum of the Moon this year to mark the successes in UAE’s space exploration missions, and introduce the subject of space to families in an exciting and hands-on manner.”

This is a travelling exhibit that has been presented in over 30 countries and will be in OliOli® for six months. OliOli® will be presenting the Museum of the Moon alongside a variety of interactive activities for families and adults alike.

The Museum of the Moon will be a venue and home to a series of fun-packed lunar inspired events for adults and children – the entire line up of activities will be riveting, engaging and enjoyable and keep changing throughout the year. Some of the things available from the 15^th October include:

• Around the moon tour: Our team will take you on a journey of the lunar landing sites
• VR moon buggy experience: Fasten your imaginary seat belt and experience driving a moon buggy using VR.
• Rocket racing: OliOli® has built an interactive game where multiple players can race their rockets to the moon. With holistic learning in mind, this fun-packed games promises a soaring heart rate while exploring questions like how much energy it takes to get a rocket to the moon.
• Phases of the Moon: OliOli® admires the beauty of the moon with this crafts station where you learn and decorate the different shapes and phases of the moon that you can take back home.

The third anniversary is a special one for OliOli®, a humble homegrown brand that is the brainchild of four UAE parents striving to reimagine play as a medium to bring families together. OliOli® is celebrating this occasion with a new admission policy to allow one free adult entry with each child’s ticket. Despite the difficult times, OliOli® remains committed to bringing world-class experiences for children and families to the UAE, and the Museum of the Moon is yet another testament to that commitment.
